Owl Sense™ began as a volunteer initiative to help locate breeding Great Gray Owls in western Montana. However, after significant interest from other researchers, it became clear that enhancing the design and eventually manufacturing and selling an affordable ARU was the natural next step.

Our Team
Troy - Founder
Troy, a software engineer by profession, has always had a deep interest in electronics projects and conservation. Owl Sense is the perfect blend of his technical expertise and personal passions.
Julia - Chief Strategist
Julia's role as Chief Strategist is as much about moral support as it is about strategy. She listens to Troy's ideas, offers the occasional piece of advice, and throws in a marketing lead here and there—all while expertly avoiding doing any actual work.
